Discova Thailand · Hotel pickup, Bangkok
Hotel pickup, the Maeklong train market, an hour at Damnoen Saduak with a longtail ride, then the older Lao Tuk Luck market and a palm sugar house on the way home. Pick it for the extras: it is the only trip here that shows you the quieter market next door.

Discova picks you up from your hotel between 6 and 7am (the exact time comes by email) in an air-conditioned van, in a small group or privately. First stop is Maeklong Railway Market for an hour, then half an hour to Damnoen Saduak, where a longtail ride is part of your hour at the market, with local snacks.
The extras are why you pick this one. Lao Tuk Luck, a few minutes away in the same district, is the older market that the Thai government's PR department calls the province's first floating market, restored with wooden houses on the water and traders selling the old way. You get 30 minutes there. On the way back the van stops for 30 minutes at Baan Tao Thai Derm, a traditional house where palm sugar is boiled down from coconut sap.
One hour at Damnoen Saduak is short, and the listing is muddled on boats: the inclusions name a paddle boat rental, while the description says a paddle boat is at your own expense. Plan on paying for one yourself if you want it: the price is per boat, by the hour, so agree it before you step in. You're back in Bangkok by about 1 to 2pm.
The operator emails your exact pickup time. Give every guest's full name and your hotel address when you book.

Baan Tao Thai Derm, where you watch palm sugar being made.
Drop-off from about 1pm for early drops, 1:30 to 2pm for later ones.
